Admissions
The Woodvale Primary Academy provides for the needs of children within the 3 to 11 age range.
Pupils will be admitted at the age of 3+ without reference to ability or aptitude using the criteria set out in this policy. Admission to our Academy is not dependent on any ‘voluntary’ contribution.
Admissions Numbers
- 60 for pupils in Reception Year
For Reception year, in the year preceding admission, parents should apply online via the West Northants Council (WNC) School Admissions Team.

West Northamptonshire local authority will co-ordinate in-year admissions and applications should be made online to their local authority Admissions website

Appeals
If a parent/carer's application at the Academy is unsuccessful, they have the right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel.
Parents/carers should submit their appeal in writing, and giving their reasons for appeal, via the online appeal form on the WNC website. Please visit this Appeals website for more information about deadlines and to complete the form.
Please be aware that the regulations under Section I of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 limit the size of an infant class (a class in which the majority of children will reach the age of 5, 6 or 7 during the school year) to 30 pupils per class teacher. Admissions over this limit are only permitted in very limited circumstances.
Nursery
At the Woodvale Nursery we offer places for 3-4 year olds, taking children a term after their third birthday.
If you are entitled to 15 hours free childcare, we have sessions available in the morning (9.00am – 12.00pm) or in the afternoon (12.30pm – 3.30pm).
If you are entitled to 30 hours free childcare, we have sessions available all day* (9.00am - 3.30pm). In order to claim 30 hours free childcare, you must apply via https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare
